Floodplain Permit
Description: A floodplain permit is required of most projects within the 100-year floodplain. Procedures and requirements are found in Section 170.480 of the zoning code.

Decision maker(s): Zoning Administrator; possible approvals needed from the WI Department of Natural Resources and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Review process:
  1. Submittal of application materials. The applicant submits a completed application, site plane, and any other required materials to the zoning administrator along with the application fee as may be established by the Village Board.
  2. Staff decision. Within 30 days of submittal, the zoning administrator either approves or denies the application.
  3. Applicant notification. Within a reasonable time following his or her decision to approve or deny the application, the zoning administrator shall mail the decision notice to the applicant by regular mail.
  4. Public record copy. A duplicate copy of the decision notice shall be retained as a public record.
